Whenever you use a lot of online accounts with different passwords for each of them, you may notice that it's really difficult to remember all these passwords and even the usernames sometimes. To fix this, you could just use a notebook and a pen, but this is not a long term solution. Setting up the same password for all your accounts is not a good idea either, because a hacker can easily take over all your accounts in one shot.
To avoid and fix these situations, you could just use SplashID Safe, a specialized Windows application which allows you to store almost any kind of data, including web login information, passwords, keywords and so on. When installing the program, the user will be asked whether he would like to automatically synchronize all the stored passwords with an online account, so he can retrieve them from any Internet location. Even if he declines this choice, he will still need to enter his email address and register a trial account on the program's server.
After the account has been created, one can just access the graphical toolbar located in the upper part of the interface and choose the type of item which should be created. SplashID Safe allows you to add credit card information, email accounts and passwords, web login information and so on. Optionally, you can define new types and choose the fields that should be included when adding information. What's more, you can organize all the items in several categories, so you can find them more easily.
SplashID Safe includes a module which can be installed in Internet Explorer, which can automatically capture the login information entered for most websites, so that you don't need to add this information manually in the program's interface. Unfortunately, other browsers are not supported.
It allows you to add various types of items, including email login information, web credentials, credit card information and so on. Besides that, it can be integrated into Internet Explorer, for automatically capturing login data. Furthermore, it can automatically synchronize all the items with an online account.
Using the program requires creating an online account, which may seem annoying to some. With the help of SplashID Safe you can safely store all your usernames and passwords in the same place.
